My Steam name had hanzi in it during my first startup, and the servers still have a bug that won’t update names. So I can’t play cross-platform with my PS5 friends, and also every now and then I get kicked from lobbies or even get a little misdirected racism over vc.
But one time I played with a group of Russian guys who kept talking amongst themselves until one said “你好(Babs)” and we had a short conversation in what was obviously neither of our primary language. That was a fun night.
hope the devs region lock yankoids so that they don’t even notice and the rest of us get to laugh at the satire being expanded on
Imagine being mad at cheaters in a fucking satirical game. And being racist on top of that. Bet they take everything in this game unironically.
It does mess up the game. There’s some hack out that lets them duplicate all the upgrade items so everyone in the mission gets enough to buy every upgrade in the game, and for a lot of people they want to “earn” the upgrades organically and it messes up their game.
And, ugh, so many of them are like “of course we get the satire you fool, you bufoon!” And then you ask them which specific governments are being accused of fascism and which democracies are being called fake and they get real mad at you.
Oh god i might have seen that one. I hate the “all chinese people are cheaters and ruining gaming” bs.
