I really want this to happen but I’m worried the scales in the West will tip in the wrong direction, further toward true and open fascism… We (yes, you reading this) have a personal responsibility to be informed and speak out as best we can. This history is not yet written — we have to write it.

I don’t think that’s going to happen. Israel gets it’s “mystique” from the fact it is surrounded by enemies and any strategic mistake can mean it’s destruction. Also sure, this horrible mass murder and genocide they are committing is just beyond savage and utterly inexcusable, but I don’t think any serious journalist could say they were not capable of it before the hamas attack. They have literally been doing it for more than half a century. This will not be their downfall, this is what they are and always have been.

Israel has been claiming they have “The world’s most moral army” for decades and westerners just eat that up. What’s happening in Gaza is nothing new, western media is just no longer able to control the narrative anymore.

Nations needing mystique is old guard thinking. As a whole, cultures everywhere need to recalibrate outside of primitive modes of thinking based on resource limitation and killing those they don’t like or disagree with. Removing religious people from positions of power and authority will help with that. We need more progressives in congress.
