It’s still really fun. The multiplayer still holds up and using the custom game browser you can find some just stupid fun games. Also, the campaigns are still good if that’s your jam. Highly worth at $10

Imo definitely worth especially for first timers just to play the story.

Edit: just realized this is a Month old… Point still stands.

Absolutely insane deal. So much content in these games. I bought it for $40 when they first launched it and feel like it was still a fantastic deal. Cannot recommend enough. The campaigns alone are worth it let alone multiplayer, mods, custom games, etc.

But no split screen! As someone who grew up playing Halo 1-3 pretty much exclusively in split screen with my friend, this has always rubbed me the wrong way about this collection. It just feels wrong.

For $10 though I might pick it up still.

Extremely good deal. Some of the best FPS games of all time, and Halo 4, plus it has mod support, crossplay, customs browser, and even supports the Steam Deck.

Absolute no brainer of a purchase if you don’t have it already.

As a Halo fan since 2005, I could not recommend MCC enough. Although I do have very slight issues with it (lack of the original menus and credits, for example), having all of the classic Bungie games mostly preserved is a wonderful thing and are very much still worth playing ~20 years on. The run of the original trilogy was monumental in the gaming landscape in the 00s in terms of innovations and firsts, but at the same time, the stories, worldbuilding, and the fun still holds up for first time players despite the age of the games.

Multiplayer is a little brutal given that most people playing are veterans like me, but for a meager $10, it is well worth the price for the campaigns alone.
