ntfy is a simple HTTP-based pub-sub notification service. It allows you to send notifications to your phone or desktop via scripts from any computer, and/or using a REST API.

I’ve recently been introduced to ntfy (pronounced Notify).

This project seems like it could be fantastically useful to quickly and easily add notifications to selfhosted projects.

Perhaps it could be used as part of an uptime monitoring system to automatically send phone notifications when an application goes down for example?

Very interested to see what use cases I can find for it!
