God, I hope this forces the CPC to kick out the nuts and nominate someone like Chong or Charest.

…or, be still my heart, that the CPC will split and/or kick the Reformers out.

It’s easy to be a mile ahead in the polls when there’s no election called, and it’s 2 years down the road.
PP was a joke then, and remains so.

    Too bad; so sad.

Probably. The way he’s been campaigning, people are going to read him as being too close to Trump. I’d like to think more and more of the folks who were willing to ignore it before are becoming less tolerant of his divisiveness since this is a time Canadians need to come together.

Campbell and Turner were also both scapegoats for a failing political party.

In this case, the conservatives targeted Trudeau instead of targeting the Liberals; this allows the party to recover if it installs a leader who a) wasn’t already elected and b) has already demonstrated skill in defending Canadians from economic downturn.

Go out and ask people on the street who they want as prime minister, the internet is not the real world so don’t go by internet blah blah blah pieces. Ask people about their political disagreements when hanging with friends because friends can strongly disagree on politics and maintain a close relationship. some married couples vote differently from each other. Social media websites will never be an accurate gage of voters intentions.

Genuinely even my conservative family members don’t want to vote for Pollievre, but they all despised Trudeau.

They don’t have anything bad to say about Carney yet.

My father used to really like Poilievre and send me clips of him roasting libs or whatever. That stopped immediately after Poilievre shook hands with the trucker convoy people. My father’s a “law and order” kind of guy and that moment completely changed his mind on PP.

If they’re consuming right wing media, which these days appears to just be all mainstream and social media, then we already know the statistical likelihood of their vote.

They’ll have a reason to vote regressive before they know it.

Carney believes Canadians have too much money. Carney has no interest if Canadians can’t afford food food or clothes. He only cares that all Canadians give their paycheque to government and give thanks to government that they are still alive. Watch interviews of former colleagues. Research his associations and personal values.

All prices on everything in Canada is going up on April 1st, Carney wants higher taxes on working people, Carney wants more taxes on companies. Look up how many years ago Carney last paid income tax.
