Everytime I see a wingsuit video they fly so close to the ground… is there an actual reason other than it’s a lot of funner?
I can’t say for sure, since they were trying to go for a distance record it’s possible they were using some form of ground effect to increase the distance on the run. When you travel at a high rate of speed with a wing over a surface, If multiplies the lift force of it.
Maybe there is more air turbulence in the open areas?
Nuts. I wonder if a drone could keep up with them and offer a more cinematic view.
