You’re not getting good data from most of Europe either. At this point hardly anyone cares and death causes are reported as they were before 2020: pneumonia, dementia, cardiac arrest etc. Whether these were caused or worsened by COVID isn’t anyone’s concern.

We won’t ever know the full extent of how many people have died of/ crippled by long covid. It’s in the interest of corporations and states for people to not care, to tell them to relax and pretend as if everything is normal.

Covid will also cause massive issiues for entire generations a few deacdes down the line, which these same states and corporations will refuse to acknowledge their own role in forcing sick people into work again en mass.

It’s tomorrow’s problem, and we pretend that tomorrow never comes.

They finally achieved their original goal and most people just aren’t paying attention anymore. They don’t care anymore. I mentioned to my brother a month ago that I was going to start masking again in crowd scenarios and he just said, “What, why? Covid is over”.

My 97 year old grandma spent Christmas in the hospital with COVID and congestive heart failure. I’m honestly shocked she isn’t a part of this statistic.
