Even in their apology they’re still taking potshots and talking down to those who choose Godot. I don’t think the Godot community will miss them.
The non apology is the usual passive aggressive tone. We won’t miss you. Just transfer it to someone else and good riddance.
This is very good to hear. I don’t see the issues with Godot they do but I’m glad they were open to resolving this in a way that doesn’t just hurt the community.
Could I get a TL;DR, or a link to one?
Heres an explanation I did on the old post https://programming.dev/comment/1029515
Thanks!!
Did you mean to link to this very post, as a passive aggressive thing? Or was that an honest mistake 😅
@Ategon Good that this needless drama is over
Best to move lightly, avoid harsh judgements and accusations and ask questions if there are concerns. There’s always room for improvement, but Godot seems like a well run project that’s improving their practices over time, such as the move to shorter, more frequent releases. I’m happy with the project.
@Ategon Maybe a moderator / co-administrator would be better, sometimes forums are deleted by a single person.
