The theory I heard for some of this is: if you remember a few years ago some of them called themselves “second amendment sanctuary cities” to lampoon others etc etc. One guy who was part of that said that he thought maybe they used ai somehow and there’s no way ai would understand the nuance that they meant.
I’d say this can hurt them, but only a little. These are locales that will always vote for him, but being accused of being the thing that they hate will be a little annoying. Also why use ai if they indeed did? Are they stupid? Yes, but they’ve been able to get humans to do things for years. They’ve already grown lazy and reliant on the new hotness?
Am I bringing another country into it? I think if you want the US to be the Nazis here, then I think what you want to argue that it’s like this brings up the Nazis invading Poland, and I mention Poland. But it’s not really. The title is stating it like that’s all it was, when a war is thousands of times more complex equating their experiences to a single word outside of themselves.
