Hey, not your fault, its a bug in the software and i just have to manage it from my side to try and keep the instance as stable as possible. Fingers crossed its resolved quickly by the devs :)
Deleting probably wouldn’t help (instances would need to fetch those comments again I think!) But really the bug shouldn’t change how you interact with the fediverse, just something we have to temporarily work around!

Thanks for the tag. The only change is an update to piefed itself. I will see if there’s any known issues in the latest update or if anyone else is aware of the issue

Do you happen to get a cloudflare challenge if you try to open the images on the vpn? We don’t specifically block vpns, so I’ll have a play and see what’s going on.
Hey so I’m like a week behind here, but piefed.zip (and lemmy.zip) already blocks hexbear, lemmygrad, and lemmynsfw by default, and sends a PM to the user when they sign up to let them know why we do this, and how to remove it.
I’ll look in to instance labels. Piefed has a lot of features, which is great, but are many hard to find or not well documented.
More and more people I know are eating out on Xmas day, I mean its crazy money but they haven’t got to cook, clean up, or worry about everyone in their house.
If there are staff happy to work, I.e. don’t celebrate, then it seems like its a small but growing trend.

I feel really lucky in the admin team and the support from many of our users too, but I can absolutely see where sunaurus came from and why he dropped it.
Hi, likely a bug in piefed that was fixed. I try and keep on top of the updates as much as possible so sorry there was a delay in getting that bug fix in place.

Other than DNS login, how does this differ from lemmy federate?
My number one concern is that now there are two services providing what appears to be the same service, some instances will use one of them, some will use another. That could harm community discovery unless we sign up to both.
Is there, for example, better piefed support?
