At least my experience on KDE the system theme option barely seems to work for GTK programs.
Even tho I specifically went out of my way to get a dark GTK theme in the system settings.

Couldn’t think of any temporary fix I’d done…Then I remembered I’ve been running an network cable out my bedroom window and into the room where the router is for nearly a decade now.
I told myself I’d get around to drilling a hole for it…In the previous place and ended up doing the same thing when I moved here over 3 years ago.
Since it separates Manjaro I’d assume it also does it for other Arch based distros with their own branding like Endeavour or Artix?
Steam on Linux has it’s own version of wine(proton) built in.
So you can launch Windows games through the Linux native Steam client.
I play and mod a lot of older games most of which aren’t on Steam, so getting some of them running takes a bit more manual effort especially if they require a 3rd party patch to run on modern hardware.
Normally it’s pretty simple like declaring some extra DLL files, But sometimes I’m jumping through hoops trying to get some old installer than hasn’t been updated since 2009 to run…
I’ve had more success than failures though, Wine is pretty amazing imo.
Who’da thunk it.
I switched a while back before all the Ai and “privacy preserving” telemetry stuff.
Every update note I see for Firefox now just reinforces my decision.
I’ve heard it’s not Trump himself selling them just one of his dickriders with his backing.
I normally don’t side with Gibson over their stupid copyright claims for pretty generic shapes. But if they can knock some Trumpster down a peg I’ll back them this time.
Modern meaning a GTK app?
The only other DAW I’ve used before Ardour was Reaper and I got my head around Ardours Ui a lot quicker on my first go.
As someone who still plays a lot of 2000s and early 2010s video games, The ‘piss filter’ can stay in the past. And I go out of my way to disable it anytime I can.
For anyone who doesn’t know, look up gameplay of Need for Speed Most Wanted (2005) and noticed the heavy yellow tint over the entire screen. So many games from around that era of gaming had heavy handed colour filters. Not always piss yellow but that was a popular one.
I owned a white original model PSP and that thing never looked clean after the first week no matter what I did.
Honestly people who go all white on everything kinda terrify me…
Trying to mount an iso image in the terminal and accidentally un-mounting your root drive.
Totally didn’t do that before…nope not even once, definitely not twice >.>
I’ve been told if you see a censored meme it’s probably because someone took it from facebook.
I dunno what’s going on with the moderation over there as I deleted my account nearly a decade ago, back when getting full gore popping up in your feed wasn’t uncommon…
A lot of newer big “gamer” brand peripherals are coming bundled with proprietary software you gotta run to get full functionality.
A friend of mine recently tried Linux and had his scroll wheel not work because it was tired to the software on Windows for some stupid reason…
I saw this trend starting nearly a decade ago when Razers software bricked my Win7 PC by booting before the login screen, I’ve avoided any devices with mandatory software since, but seems the issue has only grown lately.
I dunno if the Hub software works but I do have a Seagate OneTouch portable 4TB drive and it worked without issues on Linux after reformatting like I would any other drive.
Clonezilla Is what I normally use for cloning drives, including my boot drive. You flash it to a USB drive then.
Maybe look up a Youtube guide first but I’ve never had issues with it.
Not only that but the physical phones themselves are dumping features while charging the same or often increased prices…
My current phones literally being held together with tape but wanting a current phone with an SD card and headphone jack has seriously limited my options.
I’m sure they probably could but they don’t really have the incentive to add support for them.
I’m an older GenZ born in the late 90s and I’ve had to show a few younger peers how to torrent recently.
The idea of you needing a “special” program just for downloading a file seems to throw some of them off.
I do know a few young people are tech/programming wizards but “generally tech savy” people seem to be declining. It’s either you’re really into it or barely know anything outside popular apps.
One other thing I’ve noticed, People just seem to be more paranoid about downloading stuff not already installed on their devices. Which its good people give at least a bit of a shit about security but convincing people Firefox isn’t a virus gets a bit annoying (Yes I’ve had that conversation).
14yo me spent all day waiting for extended cut of the original Dawn of the Dead to download only to find out at 2am it was an Italian dub.
