Also in MI and by us the watch ran from 11PM to 5AM but got cancelled a bit early. Really did feel insane to have that huge of a window. I did not sleep well at all in the end

I didn’t really, I had a poor understanding of it before, and was diagnosed when I was seeking help for depression
Scrolled up twice to check if this was in aneurysm posting before I scrolled down enough to see the rest
Get your hands off my penis!

I think American stalls are designed that way specifically to make them less private in the hopes it will keep people from boning or doing drugs in them. Just another facet of American life made worse with puritanical/punitive culture.
Survive?
I think other people have given good answers, but something I didn’t see anyone touch on is the cultural erasure aspect of chattel slavery. A concerted effort was made by slave owners and others to erase the culture and history of the people they kidnapped and sold. Families were split, languages were suppressed and a lot of that history and cultural identity was intentionally d destroyed. That is part of why American racists hate “black people” instead of Kenyans or Ghanaians. It is both a failing of their worldview and a generations long strategy.
Slotkin and Peters again. 8/15 Michigan reps are blue, but generously about 3 of them are worth more than an empty chair 🤬
Don’t like that the news articles are accepting the framing of “illegal immigrants” in the headline when the names etc are unknown. Sure thats what the white house says they are, but they are not trustworthy
When you’ve convinced yourself that your parties membership is like twice the size it actually is you make great decisions
Probably something like:
4.3 terrible
2.4 average
3.3 great
This will bring grandfather such joy
Ah yes the huge concession of just not actually winning
I’m sure those States rights folks will be up in arms over this federal overreach 😮💨
🤮 Michigan feels safer than many other swing States but Peters, Nessel, Slotkin, Stevens, and Whitmer are getting worse by the day
Yes, the latest season is very much more on point with the vibe. One of the most pivotal moments, the fourth episode Road to the Spear, is almost identical to how it happened in the books.
Give it a whirl if you’ve got the time, the show has covered mostly up to the end of book 4, and I would say if you stick with it until the end of book six that is a good point to decide if you want to see it through or not. Also if you’re an audiobook fan Rosamund Pike, Moiraine’s actress has done the first four books as audiobooks. Michael Kramer and Kate Reading did the original audiobooks which cover the full series , and they are excellent with some phenomenal deliveries, but they did not agree on name pronunciations sometimes in the early ones.
Dana Nessel and the whole board of U of M should be removed from office over this. I doubt Whitmer will do it, but this has got to stop
I am excited for the tooth regrowing tech coming up. I’ve got some awful dental work that would be much better replaced by a real tooth
