I… didn’t realize that the Omens weren’t Adventures. Makes sense now because I thought a few of them looked pretty strong.

I don’t think this is strictly true anymore with the new Oracle language. I think the Legendary answer is correct. Skimming a Scryfall search I don’t see any Legendary’s matching “Whenever this creature enters or attacks”.
I thought that might be the case and looking at other Legendary’s spoiled it seems to be. Thanks!
What’s the rationale for when they don’t use “this creature”?
I discovered that much of my problem was the stock ink that came in it; it felt terrible to write with. I ended up ordering a Parker Jotter and replacement ink, so I’m trying both out to decide which I like better. I think I like the form of the Jotter better, but it’s quite small and light. I like the weight of the rotring 600 more. I think I’m going to try both out and return one of them. Or just keep them both, I haven’t quite decided yet.
I got one yesterday and I’m thinking about returning it. It feels very underwhelming. I expected higher quality.
My understanding is mostly a bird flu but also inflation.

They swap it to all uppercase letters, all lowercase letters, and capitalized respectively1·4 months agoIt looks like it treats anything that’s already capitalized and the beginning of a number as a new word and inserts a space before. So in practice it might not mess up the code too much, but I’m not sure why it doesn’t behave more similarly to the others.
I was curious so I looked it up. Guess it’s a card from Commander Masters - I had never seen it before.

Probably helpful for you to point it out though, not everyone is going to read the code in the screenshot.

Edit: Although I could be wrong. I’m a bit confused why it’s the September 2023 ratings that they posted.
Mayonnaise@lemm.eeto Movies & TV@hexbear.net•Longlegs director is based, apparently?? (CW: discussion of transphobia, Reddit AMA)English1·8 months agoComing to this a month late, as I just watched the movie and did some searching to see what people thought.
I’m not sure if I totally missed something or people were just reading too much into it, but I didn’t get any kind of trans messaging/interpretation at all. I just thought that Nic Cage was supposed to be a Satanic weirdo (and as you said, I took him as a cis-man). Honestly, Cage’s character being trans didn’t cross my mind at all, I just thought that he was a weirdo.

Mayonnaise@lemm.eeto Movies@lemmy.world•Have you ever been to a movie so terrible that you saw people leaving the theater? Which one was it?English2·1 year agoI imagine they mean M. Night’s 2010 movie, The Last Airbender. I thought this was pretty obvious, but upon Googling learned that his film was not called Avatar: The Last Airbender like the show is.
I enjoyed this one quite a bit, although as many have mentioned it gets pretty wild towards the end. I have no nostalgia for the original, but watched it a few months before this one and the two contrast really well. For one, Thom Yorke’s soundtrack is absolutely stunning and such an interesting choice considering Goblin’s music in the original.
The Knight special is obviously the passive ability to jump over other pieces.
