  • Predictions

Head: Ireland, England, France all by 10+

Heart: Italy, Wales, Scotland - oh dear, I’m in for a long day

Arse: Ireland pull off a narrow win against a defiant Italy, Wales gub England, and France fail to handle Scottish speed meaning all my predicitions come true. But France still manage to win on PD, securing a last minute bp try

Happy Saturday all, I’m in Paris for the match!

  • In Paris the day, hence why we’re late, oot fer the rugby! Nae expectin much, but hopin fer a guid game at least. Seen Notre Dame the day aifter openin back up, and it’s like it never hud a fire. Done a fine job indeed

Listening tae The Rest is History oan the plane. The build up tae WW1, what a fab 6 episodes on just 1 week ae history

  • Our last 20 has been consistently poor, our bench lags behind the big hitters for sure. And I think Wales played their way into that for sure. Stopped stupid kicks, managed the ref better, and attacked our lineouts. Cherry going off the sliding doors moment for me, the lineout is so important with current rules - we can’t be losing as many as we did, and conceding as many pens.

Not sure if we can fix that for Paris next week either

  • All subreddits have power posters. The same 6 names show up far more than any other names. You need allies to poison this well, and these are your potential allies. See if you can get some of them in a private non-reddit forum (I dont advocate discord but it is likely easier). Step 2 is adding rules that enable enshittification. Cutting out rumour and requiring reputable sites. Recent news only. Text only posts must contain a question in the title only. No top level replies to own threads. Off topic chat not allowed. AI hating not allowed. I’m sure there are some more. Step 3: inconsistent modding. Apply these rules only to the non-six. Step 4: your allies then start declaring this subreddit dead and that other communities exist. Whilst they move to Lemmy too

  • Lots of talk, little action in my experience and travels. Of course Scotland was once covered in the ancient Caledonian rainforest, and pockets of it still exist, but rewilding has a more recent history. Really, for the last hundred years, the forestry commission has mismananged and planted vast mono cultures across Scotland. But we are slowly changing this, and learning more about our ecosystems
