  • In the NFL, giving yourself up means the play is over. It’s why players will go down on one knee to end a play even though nobody tagged them. Fun fact, in college football, contact isn’t required to down a player. So if they fall down, the play is over regardless.

Also, I feel weird about the QB hits. Most QB hits while sliding are much quicker than this, like they’re about to hit them when they start going down. This still feels fast, but defenders do not hit the QBs with that much distance. So obviously for them it’s not hard to do.

  • Bonus rankings! This one is more straightforward. Teams get points for wins. They get more points for beating good teams and fewer points for beating bad teams. (+32 for beating the best team, +1 for beating the worst). Teams lose points for losses. They lose more points for losing to bad teams and fewer points for losing to good teams. (-32 for losing to the worst team, -1 for losing to the best). The point total was reset with the first game of the season.

  • Rogue Legacy does it for me in a pinch.

The Last of Us does too, but I tend to zone out and take my time sneaking around or observing stuff. So I don’t play it unless I know I have a lot of time to waste.

Sound Shapes did it for me too, but I haven’t played in awhile.

Monster Hunter World once I got down the controls/equipment well enough that I didn’t have to think about them. But once I dropped it, I didn’t go back because I don’t have time to relearn.

Halo Reach would take my time for hundreds of hours back in the day. It’s a unfortunate/fortunate that the Master Chief Collection doesn’t include multi-team in matchmaking.

Xcom was a good one too during missions. I have some great war stories from that game. My first encounter with chryssalids was straight out of a horror movie. Quickly went FUBAR and barely got one soldier out alive.
