7·8 days agoAnyone who says he was in front of the vehicle has to admit that he must be extremely stupid to stand in front of a vehicle instead of taking 2 or 3 steps to the side. Moving out of the way of a car is my automatic reaction to being anywhere near the front or rear of one.
39·9 days agoExcept that Venezuela & Colombia are a lot closer to the US and a lot of the US population already speaks Spanish and the fact that a decent portion of the military is Hispanic.

33·1 month agoWhy pencils, literally the cheapest writing utensil available? I could see if it was a good pen/pencil set or a laptop, but a piece of wood with graphite? It’s less than a dollar.
12·1 month agoThe fine is €120 Million. Elon makes $1,000,000 in less than a minute, so he made it back in < 2 hours. It definitely needs to be multiplied several times.
2·1 month agoI also haven’t noticed any bugs. I mostly use Summit as my app. I have occasionally noticed that piefed.zip won’t load anything for a few minutes from Summit. I can see reasons to switch to Stable if most people want to since there are other people who want that, but the dev branch does let us see the newest features first and maybe catch and report a few bugs.
I’ve had users who had equipment that worked when I came in to help them with the problem. I think what actually happens is that the user, possibly unconsciously, realizes that they have to pay attention to the UI, because I will, and does the action to make the equipment work the way it’s supposed to work.

I’m still having this issue. As OP says, I can upvote from Lemmy, but not Piefed.
Being tougher than Afghanistan or Vietnam was the point I was trying to make. A war in Venezuela or Colombia would be even more of a quagmire than Vietnam.
