Pretty much. Whether they agree with it or not, Marxist analysis is the logical next step/continuation to the works of the classical liberal economists. Without being able to so much as acknowledge and take it into consideration, mainstream western economists are basically just a bunch of hucksters thinking up vibes and catchphrases to whitewash capitalism’s natural descent back into the material equivalent of feudalism (which it never left for much of the world)

Personally (I know I’ve been making a few posts of such) I think hexbear should do more group activities- the kino sessions are already nice as is tracha, etc… but I’m very much of the “let 1000 flowers blossom” mentality. the world is large enough for many social circles/webs without requiring splintering, and they can all compliment each other, etc. etc… basically I think that we should branch out (have a hexbear + grad exercise, art, idk. group or groups? more gaming sessions (though then I’m not an opsec nerd) like the webfishing or hexcraft ones? I imagine there’s probably a hexbear (non tracha/trans exclusive) matrix so not reccing that but if not there should probably be one.

There should probably be some megathread for socializing (non org, mostly “non political” for all that is impossible, etc) and various specialized matrix/etc groups (since societal alienation is a very common thing and hex/the grad are basically the best online repositories I know of of people who are… generally at least not ghouls and halfways decent) or activities to present themselves or be organized. things like the aforementioned art, exercise, etc. groups, or joining for different games (like webfishing), or creating other specific hobby oriented or motivation/etc oriented groups… etc. there are limitations (IMO) to the extent of community engagement that can be done on Hex after all due to opsec, yet even if things may not be on Hex they can be adjacent to it (or a bit further removed/plausibly deniable to varying degrees) and benefit Hex as well, especially as there is what I think could be called a ever-worsening and particularly massive “crisis of alienation” among most (actual) leftists, which we (leftists in general) should probably seek to address by creating such plausibly deniable and yet principled/non-ghoulish spaces.

If anything, at this point I’m wondering when Russia will do the not only justified, but quite probably necessary thing. It’s only a matter of time, and I imagine their stalling is only because they will be in a better position, the longer they wait (in the eyes of the world, in their own domestic production/support/etc).

Western imperialism always was unjustifiable and endlessly monstrous, but at this point I believe it will have to unilaterally die sooner than later- because it will kill us- the entire human species- off and is racing to do so otherwise. The western system is not only a dead end, it only offers death and worse. If you ask me it’s 100% either death to America and the west (the regimes and socioeconomic system) or the west will ensure the death of all of humanity.

I think we should make a tracha-lite (tracha but less chaotic/probably with a spray bottle to keep users like me contained). There’s been at least a few people (4~ come to mind) I’ve seen and talked to who said normal tracha can be overwhelming or intimidating.

I know we talked about that a bit in the tracha mods chat, but figure that tossing the idea here would probably also help it not be drowned out by other chats (might make a post or idk later as well, idk)

Admittedly this is the second or third time I’ve heard such things (from different people). I’m technically a mod of tracha (though never do mod things, just chat a lot) but am not speaking on behalf of the rest here but- maybe we might start up a “tracha-lite” or branch out into having different channels for things like difficult/sad discussion topics. This also 10000%. Hexbear and the grad, apart from shitposting and once in a while effortposting (etc) are more like a who’s who/yellow pages/repository of people and activities that are not ghouls in one form or another and are generally pretty cool ish (even if we might not always vibe)

Definitely requires getting into some decent circles that have zero tolerance for radlibs and Zionism and generally aren’t online, IKTF.

Recently booted a ex-friend (had been mild befriending for a bit, they increasingly were showing their true colors particularly re Zionism as it came up but in hindsight just not gonna have any tolerance for such takes anymore) for exactly such reasons, and I’d met them at a queer space (in that same space seen self-hating/mentally colonized hanjian, people playing a clip of some US talk show host laughing off that strike quite a while back on Syrian officers’ academy graduation and family gathering events, etc). Honestly don’t want to reach out in such spaces anymore when there are infinitely better ones (like my partner’s friend circles and people online, or my siblings etc. or even what neighbors I’ve talked to due to mostly being POC).
