I’ve started preparing for my HAM radio license. Figure communications might become very important at some point in the future. License because I’ll be able to learn things before… well, before I won’t be concerned about a license.

Please remember, we all make errors (myself included). The best of us learn from them.

It seems to me you’re trying to engage in healthy dialogue, but “That’s a ragebait title” is just not true; the headline does, in fact, summarize events rather well.

Someone needs to DM to remind me (if you’re interested), but I built a pretty clever stack with all the arrs, a failsafe vpn network tunnel, dynamic dns, deluge, Jellyfin, jellyseer, reverse proxy. The works.

It’s dead simple to use (my mother runs it no problem). There is a semi-manual setup process, but a few mildly tech literate friends got it running in a couple hours.

Built for Windows, all deployed on docker. Works fine on Linux/Mac also.

That’s right, there’s about 90 people running for MP in Ottawa-Carleton. And I find that to be rather funny.

The advocacy group Longest Ballot, which tries to get as many candidates as possible on a ballot to call attention to the idea of an independent electoral reform process, told CBC News it is targeting Carleton.

Because of this, there are about 90 candidates on the final ballot.

Motivations behind actions matter. Reducing trade with the US may have several justifications. Among these are to “balance a trade deficit” and “to isolate America financially”.

So, while the actions taken to reduce trade with the US may be the same for both justifications, there is a distinction to be made as to the justification for said actions.

What gets me about this photo is how fundamentally unserious the whole scene appears. The body language of nearly everyone, the lack of focus, the shabbiness of it all… just embarrassing. I’ve seen high school clubs looking more competent and serious.

I know this is just an aesthetics thing, but it gets to me. 🤷

At my grocery store in Canada each Canadian product has a Canadian Flag next to each shelf price sticker. Makes it easy to know what to grab.

If you have binoculars you should try using them. It’s not so much about the magnification, but rather the amount of light collected. Basically, the diameter of the objective lens is bigger than your own eyeball lenses/irises, so therefore more light is collected and projected to your retina while using binoculars.

I’m in western Canada right now and have so far not had the right conditions to see it myself. I’m hoping that might change in the next day or two.

I agree wholeheartedly. Maybe there’s an alternative funding model for authors, and artists generally, that could be imagined and built. I’d be surprised if there’s not already some great ideas floating out there; but if there are, I don’t know them.
