That’s not false, but only half the truth. There used to be experimental sociology and economy, where entire towns would switch to a different paradigm to test its applicability in the real world. These are fundamental to our evolution as society, but they vanished after the seventies rolled in. Which I think explains a lot of what has and hasn’t happened since.
