I think learning and working with C was worth it for me. I however don’t still use it regularly (except in-so-far that I use C++ regularly, but they aren’t really comparable). I also didn’t start with it, but in retrospect when I finally did start learning C and using it in real projects, I’d say it was one of the times I significantly “leveled up” in my career.
Its usefulness really depends on where you are already at, though. For example, I was already fairly proficient in other more abstracted languages like C#, and some scripting languages. But those don’t really give you a solid understanding of how things work on a low level, how they are implemented, what makes things go fast (or slow). I had no idea what a “pointer” was or what they are used for, for example, until I learned C. Stripping away all the abstractions that other languages offer you forces you to have to understand the basics and think about things in a different way than you otherwise would be allowed to.
this is me i would do this
Right, but the protests and the aftermath were pretty much over by early to mid-June. He didn’t even go to Hong Kong until August, if I remember correctly. Sure it may have been a topic of discussion while he was there, but he was not actually there during them. Just seemed incredibly silly that he kept trying to maintain the facade. He could’ve simply admitted he misremembered/misspoke (which he did sort of eventually do, only to immediately backpedal it and repeat the original claim again, to the moderator’s confusion). It was an absolute softball of a question and he completely fumbled it.
Agreed. Project 2025 has always just seemed like bait to me, which the liberal media and democrats have swallowed whole. Not in the sense that it’s fake or that everything in it isn’t something the GOP actually wishes it could do, but that it has gotten political brain poisoned liberals to freak out constantly about some spooky opaque 1000 page document that no sane person is ever actually going to read, instead of addressing the issues average people actually care about. It just makes them sound weird and annoying.
Yeah I’ll be honest he’s doing better than I was expecting. He’s managing to not let himself get pinned down defending stupid things Trump, and even he himself has previously said, and has been fairly charismatic and articulate. Walz sounds incoherent at times, and keeps bringing up terminally-political-brained stuff without giving sufficient elaboration/context, so most normal people won’t even understand what he’s referring to. Vance is a piece of shit for sure, but he’s surprisingly good at making Trump and himself sound palatable, if you didn’t know better.
It was funny how when he “answered” the question it sounded more like he was getting defensive about going to China at all, rather than just saying “well damn I guess I forgot the exact details of something that happened 35 years ago” even when they asked for clarification, he just kind of reiterated the original claim that he was there during the protests lol.
I laughed out loud at the insanity of that first question tbh. “Would you support a preemptive strike on Iran? You have two minutes.”
Walz is cooked
I’m not really invested in this but the specific claim made here doesn’t seem to be factually inaccurate? I have no doubt Nazis take it out of context and make it sound like every single Jew in New Jersey was out in the streets dancing up a storm after 9/11, but this specific occurrence did happen, so…
where’s all the smartasses that were dunking on yuzu devs for accepting money, because they surely would have been left alone otherwise?
lmao
Please explain why you think sending a big chunk of Ukraine’s best troops to open a front in another country that they will almost assuredly eventually lose, all while Ukraine is currently losing ground on fronts within their own borders, ostensibly helps continue “Ukrainians as a people unto themselves with the right to self-determination”?
Even then, that setting doesn’t unhide the “.lnk” file extension, that requires a registry edit: https://www.askvg.com/tip-how-to-show-file-extensions-of-shortcuts-lnk-url-pif-in-windows-explorer/
Although shortcuts are pretty easy to spot in the first place unless you just double-click things without paying attention lol

“That’s cabbage!”
Nope, that’s engagement bait.
