  • This week moved all my vps’s to nixos, so am now able to use one flake for my desktop and all my vps’s which significantly lowers down the time I need to manage my vps’s.

Nowto move my proxmox homelab server ( an old desktop pc I bought recently ) and all my server’s/devices witll be running nixos.

EDIT: An issue I’m thinking about is getting a “proper” server. Not a server like a server rack server, but a mini pc or something along those sides wbich would be a lot stronger and a lot more power efficient than the current 10+ y/o desktop pc I’m using currently.

So would like some reccomendations on that front, like what are some good mini pc brands and mini pc’s that I could have raid seted up on for nas or good budget parts and case to make one myself.

  • I personally don’t use drugs, alchohol, … to cope with reality. I ahve accepted it with how it is and that’s it.

I do occasionally alchohol ( beer mostly ) once half a year by doing a death in elden ring or game i, that ballpark where I die I drink some alch, but that’s just for fun to see how well I fare.

As for coffe ( you mentioned it in another comment ) I just drink it when I have soneone to drink it with.

Stuff like cigs and drugs I never tried ( even thought I had a shitton of chances to try to ) because I never felt like I needed them, even when I wen’t throught some very big depressed episodes.

I mostly just accepted things how they are and try to fill my days with stuff that bring me joy and fullfilment, I don’t try to escape from those feelings, but live alongside them.

  • Not good, most people live paycheck to paycheck. High unemploynent rate when not summer because we only have jobs in tourist season which is summer. If you aren’t living in a bigger city 0 public transport.

If you live in smaller cities/countryside you will most likelly be forced to drive at minimum 10km to closest store’s, or 60+km to closest er and 100+ km to any decent hospital that’s any good.

And let me not starting about the fact we adopted euro recently and the inflation which mak£s us try to survive on 850 euro wage with 500 euro rent and food costs where just one day trip to the store will eat up 25 euro minimally.

As a tourist atraction croatia is amazing, but as a place to live in it’s not unless you are lucky and came from outside the balkans, in chich case you can thrive in the country as shown by a lot of americans who come ti live in Croatia after living on high wage jobs there and having expendable money ( average yearly income here barelly passes 12k euro last time I checked ).
