Yeas, we all have different needs, some work better in an office environment and some don’t. I think the important takeaway is being able to choose and having a workplace that support individual choices.
Updated the link, thanks!
The roman emperor Caligula comes to mind, if the sources concerning his reign can be trusted.
I’m probably in minority here. My setup is simple, I chose a good OS like Debian or Alpine to run things on, make sure it’s always patched, move sshd to a nonstandard port and harden it.
As a developer doing mostly remote work, the thought of this setup appeal to me, but I doubt the technology is there yet. Having something on my face all day needs to be light, very light. The “monitors” need to be sharp and have both a decent refresh rate and PPI, while having a wide enough FOV.

For me personally, silence means you’re listening, taking time to actually respond instead of actually just blurting out what pops into your mind.
Another example of where silence might prove useful would be negotiations, where over sharing or talking too freely could translate to a disadvantage.

Depression here and I really wish people would stop confusing it with sadness, I’m not fucking sad, I barely feel anything.
