  • Seven Samurai, if you haven’t seen it. It’s long enough that it features an intermission. One of the top, all-time-classic films, and debatably Akira Kurosawa’s most influential work, given how many remakes and reimaginings there are of it.

    For something less classic and more quirky, check out The Hudsucker Proxy.

    If you’d like an anime drama, check out 5 Centimeters Per Second. It’s a feast for the eyes and won several awards when it came out. That one’s also only just over 1 hour, so it’s convenient to squeeze in if another film doesn’t fill the time of the flight quite right.

    I quite enjoyed watching Killers of The Flower Moon during a long flight, as well. That one’s like 3 hours, so it’s perfect for when you’re on a plane with no distractions.
