I can see it now. Sorry about being ambiguous. What I mean is that the first generation immigrants who were granted permanent residency or citizenship should be treated the same way as multiple generation citizens, including crime punishment.

What I meant was that the “minority” offenders that cannot be sent back should be charged the same way as the “majority” of the population. Sorry for the confusion.
Oh boy, I’m going to downvoted into oblivion for what I’m about to write. Here we go.
It will be about unchecked illegal immigration, so hang tight. First of all, everyone that’s trying to illegally cross borders should be sent back to the country of origin. Next, all permanent resident/citizen immigrants that break a law should be returned to a country of origin. On top of that all crimes should be treated equally, no matter who committed it.
edit
Forgot to add to the list. All illegal immigration advocates should be legally forced to host at least one immigrant in their house/apartment.
Back then I was both surprised and creeped out by the idea some stranger would look over my shoulder when I use my device. Nowadays, you need to hand out your device and provide the pin to unlock it. I honestly miss the good old days.
Fifteen years ago I was traveling to the US. I had a stop in Germany and Chicago before I reached my destination. Every time I was on a ground I was questioned, I had to fill several documents, I had a full body scan and I had to power on all my devices and perform some basic tasks, e.g. I had to take a photo with my camera and show it to the agent.
Corporations need to make profit somehow. I wouldn’t be surprised if in a year or two Spotify would introduce payed plan with ads.

I don’t listen to podcasts but to answer this question
But since I am paying for Spotify I am expecting not to have to listen to any ads.
Companies are forced to increase revenue every year. It means the amount of crap will just keep on increasing.
Mostly because of the amount of good quality content. But as I said, I’ve moved to radarr/sonarr so I interact with less and less.
There is this torrent site I use that likes to use javascript to redirect to various malicious websites on every single click. After reaching the desired amount of clicks, it start behaving like a normal, “legit” website. Just of out curiosity I checked few other torrent websites and got the same result. It got so annoying that I’m using radarr and sonarr to look for torrents.
I’m a pretty good cook with a focus on bread making. I’ve been working on a perfect pizza recipe for years. I always have a frozen pizza dough in case of an emergency :)
My perfect pizza is thin, with mozzarella cheese in the crust, made on a pizza iron cast plate (way better than pizza stone) - I don’t have a pizza oven yet.
Ingredients from the bottom - pizza dough, tomato sauce (with basil, oregano and garlic), cheese (mozzarella, parmesan, cheddar), red onion, ham, mushrooms, a little bit of cheese, oregano and jalapenos.
As for the store/take out pizza - I will never eat frozen market pizza and most of the global franchises are at best mediocre. I have few local places I like to order pizza from. They are good enough but still I prefer my own pizza.
I know what dns poisoning is but it usually happens on so called legit sites. Pirate sites serve you malware out of the box.
Somehow “legit” sites won’t try to install malware on my laptop. So, I take more regular ads over piracy crap.
It’s a complex and polarising issue. The main problem is that some, sometimes most, of immigrants don’t want to assimilate. They are creating ghettos, don’t respect local laws. Other issue is that governments prefer to spend tax payer money for accommodating immigrants instead of solving nation’s issues.
I wouldn’t limit immigration per se. I would limit unchecked illegal immigration and spend more money on assimilating immigrants that want to contribute to a country they moved into.
Yes, I do. I’m a devops engineer and even “coding camp devs” have problems understanding what I do for a living.
I think you answered your own question. You asked about “retard”, not about R-word. Some snowflakes will get offended on behalf other people but normal people will just acknowledge rude language and move on.
Flatpak is not the answer here. For example, flatpak version of codium doesn’t recognise terminal settings out of the box. Since such trivial thing is a problem, image how difficult it would be to use it with various file systems, sync options, etc.
If it’s a motivation issue, you will need to figure it out on your own. I could give you some advice but motivation depends on a specific use case. If you want I can share what motivates me but there’s no guarantee it will work for you.
As for getting back on a tech horse, there’s a trick I’ve been using every time I was learning a new thing and it worked every single time. I start with a project idea. I write down the major goals I want to achieve and start working on it. At first I do the “quick start” adjusted to fit my project. It usually ends up with a working proof of concept and a list of things I don’t know/understand. Next, I learn about the those unknowns and update the project with what I have learned. This raises more unknowns which leads to more things to learn about. After few iterations, when I’m happy about the project, I start a new, more complex project. And so on.
This is the scene and the title seems familiar. Thanks!
All my grandparents are dead but when they where alive we did the usual thing which was meeting few times a year. On top of that I used to call them at least once a month and we’ve talked about everything and nothing, usual small talk. The interesting part is that I got a lot of insights between the lines and I had a pretty good idea how my grandparent were in their early years.
If you want a better relationship with your grandparents, call them every now and there or visit them and have a casual conversation. After a while you will know them way better. And if you’re not comfortable with what they say, just let it slide. Old people are known for not giving a crap about political correctness.
