I believe it is wireless, yes. Middle one should be the wireless receiver connected to the host device, making the biggest workload communication saving up the battery on the master half, but i am not 100% sure.

With the selected firmware, ZMK or QMK, you can always experiment different positions and/or layers where you can define the dedicated arrow keys, until you get comfy with the selection

my take is because it brings joy + may be some level of challenge, while making a build plus extra fun to type on something new, adapting a keymap to your needs etc after that

I have cut the acrylic to exact size of 1000mAh battery. Probably i would recommend to position the battery where i have cut my logo in the middle of the base for 2 reasons:

1. under the controller there are sharp pins, which would be safer to avoid having the battery under them, just to be safer
2. if you would like to use the tented case as a normal case you could place a rubber feet where the battery is
