snap@lemm.eeto Sim Racing@lemmy.ml•Should I get Asseto Corsa or ACC or keep playing GT7 until AC evo comes out?English1·6 months agoI absolutely adore ACC and have been racing exlusively in this sim for several months now. That being said though, I’ve been racing online only and on PC.
I have heard several times from different sources that ACC has its problems on consoles, being it crashes, weird updates etc… The AI and the career mode is okay-ish I guess, but the real value is in its multiplayer, if you ask me.
AC on the other hand is an offline content fest (again: only speaking for PC). I have only ever played it fully modded though. The unmodded graphics speak for themselves? :)
If you only want to drive offline, having a nice career mode, challenges, etc., I would wait for AC Evo.

snap@lemm.eeto Privacy@lemmy.ml•Any recommendations for a privacy respecting watch with basic smart features?7·1 year agoFully recommend the bangle.js
Super simple, hackable smartwatch. Perfectly compatible with gadgetbridge etc.
Had no issues whatsoever since I bought it a year or so ago

Bump. Really interested as well!
I actually bought into the fanatec bundle a couple months ago, yea. The basic functionality worked, but I must say that the feeling of the force feedback felt off under Linux - hard to describe though. I feel bad to say this, but simracing is the only reason for me to have a dual booted windows workstation for now :(
All the cool hard- and software stuff that I was missing out, left me longing for windows compatability.
You could definitely give it a try though. Like I said, most of it was and is already there in form of these drivers: https://github.com/gotzl/hid-fanatecff
For me: totally. I need to use windows for work. With WSL, I can use all the tools I need via the Debian box underneath. All I use windows for are the communication apps my colleagues use.
Apart from work: nope. Full time Linux kinda guy
Depends in the sim used, I guess. IRacing? No. ACC, AC, WRC? Definitely
Let’s goooooo :D Really looking forward to it

Automatic daily downloads of all my favorite channels and watching them via jellyfin. Good enough for me
Can’t recommend the Bangle.is enough. Great piece of hardware! Fully usable and customizable software, even if you’re not a software dev, as some people on the internet claim you have to be
Looking really cool. Wishlisted :)
