It’s an IP. It doesn’t matter what would be most artful. The Hollywood system would turn it into an openly racist musical with the entire soundtrack being variations on ‘Happy Birthday to You’ if it meant they’d make an extra $5.
As for what would be best? I’d rather they had kept the movies in the cheesy/campy space they used to have and then created a separate space to be ‘gritty/real’ in. The modern ‘Bond’ films don’t match the old ones.

To be specific, it’s not representing those things themselves but a way of projecting what would happen if those elements were more exclusively glorified. Klingons are a culture in which martial strength and honour are culturally glorified. Ferengi are a culture in which greed is not just present or prominent, but specifically glorified. Each one takes a concept, raises its value to max and then a society is built around that value. And then the Captain, as embodiment of enlightened liberalism, meets that culture and comes to terms with it.
Real talk? Missing the third group that groups the other two under the same heading for political expediency. The bottom group is essentially never sincerely grouped with the top.
Black Metal Ist Frau
A mean dream… That’s kind of an interesting phrase.

I have an odd question. Does Islam have a position on corporate personhood? If corporations are not people, can one steal from them at all? Piracy is already not quite the same as theft because it does not remove the original from the source’s possession, so can copying something ‘owned’ by something that isn’t a person count as theft?
This will sound like heresy to some, but get away from the bleeding edge. You probably don’t need the absolute latest version of every little thing. It can feel cool knowing you know how to fix a borked install but actually having to do so sucks. Dump the hype and get to something stable for your daily driver. If you want to experiment, do it on another drive/machine. Building a custom rocketship is cool, but you should probably build it without breaking the truck you use to go get parts.
The trick is, it’s not just that they are shit labeled as food. It’s that most Americans have never seen the steak they pretend to be, so they look at anyone else as crazy when they are told what they’re eating isn’t filet mignon and no one else wants it. They have no frame of reference to even understand what food is in that metaphor.
Are you trying to say earth life is a cheap knock off of alien life?

Why ask strangers on the internet with no context why your friends like something? Wouldn’t your friends be both far more able to explain, because it’s their thing and we don’t know them, and far more interested in explaining, because it’s their thing and people love talking about their passions?

It feels like so much of the games industry is a weird circle jerk. Big game companies feel this weird pressure to make giant games that have 3TB of textures because they’re building everything to be cut into a trailer that looks as flashy as a big blockbuster film, requiring hardware no one can afford. Meanwhile, they add 13 layers of organizational overhead, so no one can do anything on their own because the writing team have to have a meeting with the texture art team and the modelling team and the voice acting and SFX team just so they can even ask the question of ‘How much time will it take to add this NPC in this area and will it justify that much extra artist time/pay by selling another X units?’ much less actually make a good estimate as to the answer. Then you have players, a bunch of whom somehow still get suckered in by those trailers but then spend the next year complaining how much the AAA game sucks but unable to play anything else because of network effect lock in, only to do it all again the next time they see another flashy trailer. Nobody learns the lesson. Everything just repeats until it breaks down as is replaced with the next generation of misery.

Uh, those sound like things that are intensely flavorful, so maybe not the best example to show you still have functioning taste.
So… if consoles aren’t selling and PC part prices are increasing, is there going to be much market for games in a year or two?

It’s all interdependent. You need schools to educate the kids to become devs and medical professionals, medical care to keep the devs and students alive and healthy enough to keep up their work, IT people to keep the medical systems running and the schools connected.

Why did you draw dickbutt on the back of your business card?
Helen, that’s very kind but I’m not letting you ride home in my car if you’re soaked in piss. Let’s just go.
If you pay $14 for YTP and watched literally only one channel, ever, that channel could get up to a max of $7, less transaction fees. Alphabet eats the other $7. If you use uBlock and SponsorBlock, you get the same ad-free experience and can then control how the $14 gets distributed. I technically spend more than the cost of YTP each month on the creators I support, but I can see my contribution going directly to the creators in nearly the full allocated amounts. That’s a huge difference to small channels. Corporate lackeys will go ‘but the server costs!’ but Alphabet made ~$34B off of other people’s creations last quarter alone and have consistently made the user experience worse since they acquired YT, so any complaints from Alphabet’s C suite can be safely filed under BS.
Don’t pretty much all pens just end up getting lost long, long before they get worn out? I’ve managed to hold onto a few for a few months but eventually they just get stolen by a borrower or the pen gnomes.
