I’m glad this man is finding his peace. It’s also why it’s so important to have good mental health assistance before transitioning. As he said, this was an escape from a horrible situation. Access to professional mental health help is hard and expensive. Much more so than doing something drastic like a sex change. And I would bet that nowadays things are worse for today’s youth than they were 25 years ago.
