I’m opposite of that, I don’t like ball gags, mostly because of the drooling they cause. I know some people find that hot, but it’s not for me. I’ve heard ring gags cause less drooling, not sure if true. In general I prefer when the sub can still scream, beg, talk back, and everything in between, why take that away with a gag :3
