But these Apps are not meant when they talk cloud computing. It is virtual servers, containers, services that can spun up in seconds and expand your infrastructure e.g. when customers overrun your services. Or additional computing power for reseach if your local machine lacks it.

Aeh…. Cloud is more than storage. The way I understood it, the offer is more in the realm of cloud computing for businesses.
Next|Opencloud is a lot more than storage. There are hundreds of webapps. They just lack a glittering UI and puplicity.

Not my area of expertise but I’d think that there FOSS solutions for that definition of cloud as well. Kubernetes, maybe?
Sure! But the point is to have a provider like telecom where you can rent the power.
