Thanks! No magnifying glass, but she used 0.75mm hook.

My wife says her smallest is 2.25… I had to ask her. She makes Luffy hats. The straw hat for that pirate kid on One Piece. She watches it. I only vaguely know what he looks like. But there’s a Netflix show now, it’s popular, those hats move.

Cool! A friend of mine likes Once Piece, so I’m familiar 🙂

These dolls are somewhat small (1:6), so tiny patterns look more natural on them, which is why she used a very small hook.

Yeah, my wife asked me to repeat the hook size when I told her what you said your wife uses. She thought I misread. She doesn’t think she can use a hook that small, though now she might be inspired to try it.

My wife is relatively new to the hobby (year and a half or so), so she’s constantly learning, and improving. So maybe she will go that way eventually. Her latest kick has been grid patterns, which is popular with knit and cross stitch, but can be crocheted as well. So as I understand it, a smaller hook will result in a smaller product, which means a bigger grid will be the same size or similar to a smaller grid made with a bigger hook, so she could get more detail in. But that is something she will have to work towards.

Yeah, there is some special kind of fun in small things 🙂 And yes - your understanding is correct.
