    Can you imagine the criminal justice system is geared towards processing exactly these sorts of crimes, committed by the disadvantaged? Can you imagine it is not focused on catching criminals society would deem as smart, e.g. in finance, politics, or industry? And when I say disadvantaged, I mean that in the broadest sense: People who are, for whatever reason, socially excluded and cannot participate in normal capitalist exploitation. Be that because they were born in the wrong part of town, because they have mental health issues, immigrated, are poor, whatever. A lot of crime can simply be derived from lack of fulfillment of basic needs. It makes people desperate and prone to becoming criminal in situations that are not ideal. And this is exactly the sort of crime I suspect you’re talking about.
