I’ll start:
- Kubernetes
- Nextcloud
- Matrix-synapse
- Minecraft
- Authoritive DNS servers (powerDNS)
- Mail-servers (postfix, and Haraka)
- Peertube
- Writefreely
- GoToSocial (a small footprint fediverse server)
- CalcKey (fediverse software)
- My own small websites
- Some small bots
- Kubernetes
- VPN
The Hardware I use:
- A bunch of Dell Optiplexes, Proliant Microserver G8, Synology NAS, mikrotik switches.
- And a rack with a 100TB ceph cluster with some friends with a total of 700 cores and 4tTB RAM
I host Mealie, Vikunja and Searxng.
Offtop: noticed you’re hosting Matrix. Is Matrix-synapse with bridges challenging to maintain?
Cheers!
Had to format my post, since the mobile client I posted it with did not apply the formatting that I did :)
I am currently running a minecraft<>matrix bridge and a telegram-bridge. I used to host those bridges for public use (3k+ users), but that was hard since it used up so much hardware. Now it is only for family and friends, and that is working so much better :)
Sweet! I heard that recent versions of Synapse is less of the resource hog it was. Thank you so much!
Indeed it is! I remember a big change in resource-use between 1.18 and 1.22. And it is even less now. My server has joined many big rooms and it is doing great on 1 core and 1gb ram (even thou I have allocated more to it).
How does Vikunja work btw?
It’s awesome. I was torn between Joplin and Vikunja, but since I’m using Logseq for my notes, I utilize Vikunja as a quick todo app, which helped me to stay organized. Working great, I auto-update it using Watchtower and never had any issues :)
Thanks! I’ll check it out :) Noticed that vikunja has a fedi-account @vikunja@social.linux.pizza
