Yeah it’s always upsetting when these spaces turn in to “you believe this so you’re an idiot” type of angry atheist spaces. It’s not productive. I’d like to see more active discussions of Christian nationalism, meetings, etc.
Yeah, honestly I don’t give a shit if people have religious beliefs; I just don’t is all. I think religion helps to give people community and hope, which are things I think many people lack. The only problem I have with religion is attempting to legislate based on religion or otherwise attempting to force your religion-endorsed behaviors on those who aren’t members
I have a problem with religions because I don’t believe that people should believe incorrect things. It is a value of mine that people should pursue and obtain the truth and that dogma should not prevent that goal. However, I know that isn’t the most important part.
Is this going to turn into one of those “I’m 14 and just discovered atheism” spaces? Just curious what the community wants the culture to be here
