    Because without it Man would not have Free Will. Coincidentally, the answer to the other two questions is Free Will. Just because Cult45 has never read the Bible, doesn’t preclude others having actually done so.

      why is evil necessary for free will?

      could not an all powerful good create a being that had free will, but did not cause, or suffer, evil?

        Because if you can’t choose to be evil then you don’t have agency over your choices as some of them are being blocked by… something.
