I have been smoking cigars and pipes “on occasion” for 20+ years. And by “on occasion” I mean “between a few times per year and a couple times per month”. In fact, almost every cigar/pipe smoker I know is exactly the same way. Cigarettes, however, are a COMPLETELY different beast. You just can’t conflate all tobacco products like that.
