Personal take on GOMO’s UNLI DATA:

    • Is it enough for everyday use? More than enough (comms, emails, web surfing)
    • Is it really slow? Depends on the location, as always. GOMO can maximize 5Mbps (625KB/s) efficiently.
    • Is it good for gaming? I don’t do online gaming on my phone, so I cannot tell (sorry).
    • Is it enough for nitpliks-ing? Oo naman. Naka-auto setting lang ako sa app, at wala akong na-encounter na buffering pagktapos mag-stream ng Lawrence of Arabia (3hrs), Wild Things (1h48m), at Do Revenge (1h58).
    • Okay ba sa spotepai? Yes.

I use Gomo as backup for WFH. Sometimes, na-experience ko na na-di-disconnect ang mga interactions ko since mahina ang signal ng Gomo sa area namin.

GOMO uses their own APN (gomo.ph), not the Globe one. Maybe yan din ang rason na nadidisconnect (I stand corrected on this one) , but for me, wala akong nararanasang buffer when streaming (because some bits of it are already downloaded). Yeah, sometimes mag didisconnect siya, especially mag bo-browse ako sa Lemmy at YouTube.

As long as I can send and receive messages and calls on Viber and emails, I’m fine. 5Mbps is enough for me.
