PiS govt did a mistake in propaganda bubble. It allowed for the Volhynia massacre being publicized by their more consequently nationalist elements (probably because more enemies east are good for them and Ukraine was also pretty openly hostile since Yushchenko took over), so when NATO demanded Poland be subservient to Ukraine it created quite a lot of friction especially on the right - though all of them hate Russia much more and the official course isn’t in any danger.

Not a mistake. A crime.
