I genuinely like how Ghost Ship (Fat Shark/Vermintide 2 kinda too) handles this: “do you like what we’re doing? give us a few bucks and you get a silly helmet.” No in game micro transaction bs or grinding with “shortcuts”. It’s a fair and direct offer. And it’s always clearly separated from gameplay changes/additions and not in your face. And there’s still lots of free cosmetic stuff. God I love DRG.
