The Federal Trade Commission narrowly voted Tuesday to ban nearly all noncompetes, employment agreements that typically prevent workers from joining competing businesses or launching ones of their own.
Canadian here. I had one for working in a call centre ffs. And afaik we don’t have laws against it. :(
My understanding is that they aren’t enforceable. Also, Ontario has a ban since 2021.
