Mom: “Are you working today?”

Me: “i go in tonight”

Mom: “Call me tomorrow”

Now i am panicking because she often does that with bad news. Usually though she doesn’t have anything to actually say, just wanting to catch up. But why does it always have to seem like an emergency?
