For a safer option, you can always just use peroxide, salt, and water
I’ve heard a mixture of 50/50 hydrogen peroxide and vinegar makes a great oxidizing agent

I heard adding salt to this mixture makes it even more effective

Oh peroxide is like 3% usually, so it should be safe then
