Once a glamorous destination that attracted the likes of Elizabeth Taylor and Abba, the Cypriot resort of Varosha was abandoned on 14 August 1974 when Turkey invaded. For 50 years, the town has been deserted, but in 2020 it was opened up to tourists.
Been playing a lot of Fallout 76, and this looks just like some of the locations. For those not familiar, there’s even a drug called Jet.
Change that sign to “Nuka Cola,” throw in some scorched or feral ghouls, and it really would be right at home in that world.
I’m re-playing Fallout 4 as we speak and and these are my thoughts exactly :D. If you add slightly yellowish filter on it, it would match even better.
The article says it has partially re-opened in 2020. Has anyone visited recently? Any updates?
