Another day, another shopping trip, buying up everything at the second hand clothing store 🙄 she’s got a sickness, she can’t go a day not buying things. Does she really have nothing better to do with her big career job? Lemon doesn’t need all of this!!
Just cause they are “vintage” doesn’t mean they are attractive shoes. They aren’t timeless. They look dated and are kinda ugly. She just wanted them for the label and the dopamine hit. I can’t imagine what she would even pair with those.
What baffles me is that she has enough money to buy new designer that’s more on trend or classic. I don’t know why she doesn’t.
She doesn’t even know what vintage is! She thought Le Chateau shoes from 2015 were vintage lol. I’m pretty sure only 20+ years is considered vintage. Resellers have capitalized on the ignorance of people like SNL and call everything vintage.
Because she doesn’t actually have her own style identity, or personal style worth investing in - she chases the dopamine hit of people telling her she looks cool or trendy. With the buying habits we see, they could be in serious financial trouble if she bought designer instead of Amazon 🤣 and she couldn’t add her ever present but barely legible affiliate to designer links… this grifter lives grift first
She’s also continuously taking opportunities from less fortunate families who can only afford these items second hand. I’m all for thrifting, but she is currently a wealthy woman who can afford to purchase these items new if she really needs them. But we know she doesn’t, she just wants to brag about her purchases and seem relatable 🙄
This is what really gets me too. She has so much free time that she goes almost every single day to buy things, where people who would benefit from these literally have to save up for an occasional shop. I love thrifting, but I also know that you can’t buy it all, and people depend on these things for their children. This haul someone could give their child for birthday or Christmas gifts and it would have a huge impact. These will be stuffed on one of those toy shelves or in a bin and never thought about again. She’s hoarding from those less fortunate and I hope people are calling her out on her shit. She isn’t being relatable, she is being an ignorant selfish asshole. I wonder if she has ever thought about how something could benefit someone other than her when she makes a decision. She needs to do better.
That’s what bothers me the most. Obviously these stores are for everyone but at the end of the day she takes advantage of it and hoards everything. She’s lucky to have money to provide new stuff for her kids all the time yet she’s always out here bragging about her thrift store finds. I don’t know how people enjoy following her and watching her spend spend spend all the time.
I can see both sides as I follow a lot of people who wear and admire vintage items. The majority of what is in thrift stores ends up being thrown out/sent to the landfill as the store can’t handle the sheer volume of donations. Most of my wardrobe and household items are thrifted as it’s important to me to be sustainable; often I will leave what I consider to be highly desirable items and no one buys them for months (this may be because others are prioritizing practicality over luxury). That said it does annoy me when SNL does it because it seems so performative. Those items are more than likely also not being used (how many Minnie Mouse things does L. have already?!). I don’t buy anything unless I’m going to actually use it. I also exclusively shop at thrift stores that give back to the community (ie: NOT Value Village).
I also have mixed feelings about resellers. Like SNL, they often buy up the best that the store has to offer and turn it around to make a pretty profit. This has led to many thrift stores in my area increasing their prices. One of my local stores started restricting purchases to 6-8 items and the only people who complained were resellers. However, this was the only way they could keep their prices down while continuing to serve the community. I wish people weren’t so selfish.
I agree with you. She shouldn’t be at Good Will. She can buy at upscale consignment stores if she wants to pretend she cares about the earth. We know she doesn’t because she shills her Amazon crap but she loves playing make believe
Same. I’m starting to think he’s numb to it at all at this point. My fiancé gets annoyed when I buy a new candle nevermind bringing in stuff every single day!

ETA: good lord she is still out buying shit!!!

Do you think she buys them even if they aren’t her size?
I was thinking that too and I bet yes. Her “fancy” shoes never look like they fit her
I fully believe she does!
Having seen her feet (long toes ), quite believe she would never get into these shoes. They are cut very low at the front.
I went thrifitng today and saw quite a few ‘vintage’ Le Chateau shoes. They still look as uncomfortable as they did 10 years ago

" I wonder if she has ever thought about how something could benefit someone other than her when she makes a decision."
No, she has not and never will.
I’ve been thinking the same thing! It shows how completely clueless and selfish she really is too. She cares only about herself!

My husband would absolutely go insane if I continued to bring all this crap into our house every day 🤣

I have to wonder if all these recent shoe purchases are due to everyone ripping on her horrible shoe choices 🤭
