Back in 2000 I had no idea they were basically just speed running 10 years of OG Gundam stories. I also didn’t know that the things the characters said didn’t make any sense, I just assumed I was too dumb to get it.
The second half especially is a complete mess, but the power of nostalgia makes it a beautiful mess.
Fucking Peacemillion. Howard just pulled an entire fucking battleship out of his ass. Although, to be fair, Relena somehow having fully reestablished the Sanc Kingdom 5 episodes after chasing Heero down to Antarctica, so stuff magically happening out of nowhere was kinda baked in from early on.
It’s about 20 episodes too long and you really feel it.
And just to fuck with you, they insert a key piece of information in what is otherwise a recap episode.
