Whether you used Sync or not, we could all use more app competition in this space.

Sync for Lemmy is happening: https://www.reddit.com/r/SyncforLemmy/comments/14ee1ul/sync_for_lemmy_is_happening/
Paid for SYNC pro lifetime. Would ABSOLUTELY pay again.
Former redditor here (as if my username isn’t a dead giveaway by itself)
I’ll buy this in a heartbeat but if Relay for Lemmy would happen if be so happy
I ain’t goin back.
Would be nice if they could reach out here.
I hopped around a lot before landing on Baconreader and, later, Sync. I don’t mind doing that again - but Sync might be where I end up staying if he’s quick. That said, I think Jerboa is actually rather nice and similar as it stands (at least for how I used Sync). Many of the things I want are on the Lemmy side as a whole, not necessarily the app side of it.
Jerboa has some problems it needs to polish (although a lot of issues I have look like they’ve been resolved in PR’s on the github page, ready for next release) but as an open source app for a previously tiny userbase, it does the job. Would switch over to Sync in a heartbeat though, if as you say, he’s quick.
It doesn’t help that the dev’s time is split between the Lemmy front-end, back-end, and the app.
I don’t see any links to this thread, perhaps someone could link it? And if so, please be vocal about your support.
For me it opened when I clicked the icon. Anyway:

Nice! Looks like it’s happening!
I meant a link back to this thread from the Reddit one so the creator could see the discussion here for those who aren’t engaging on Reddit.
Wow that would be amazing. I loved Sync. I just hope a toxic community doesn’t drive him away again.
Is Lemmy toxic? I feel like all its shortcomings it’s far from toxic.
The Sync community turned toxic when the dev implemented an updated UI a couple years ago. The new UI was beautiful and much more in line with the evolving visual design of Android, but the average user hates change. The dev version spent a while on the new UI while it was being refined, but the free/pro version was not upgraded until I want to say probably a year or more later, the developer having gone radio silent for a while under all the criticism.
