RIP Bray Wyatt
An absolute shame. I’m so sorry to anyone rocked by this announcement.
Use this space to talk about your favourite Bray moment or whatever you want. As well, let’s use this as a mega thread for news related to his passing. Please post any Twitter links or articles about this tragedy here.
Thanks guys. RIP Bray Wyatt.
Terry Funk was sad and heartbreaking but not unexpected due to his health issues and age. Bray Wyatt on the other hand is tragic and heartbreaking, he was young and has small children, and this is hard. I hated The Fiend character, but loved Swamp Wyatt, I really hate there won’t be a new character coming, and hope his family weathers this storm well.
This is also how I learned Terry Funk died too. 😭
SRS is saying the cause of death was a heart attack stemming from post-covid syndrome.
Covid has taken so much from us. RIP.
Wow…this is devastating.
He was 36. He was many, many years away from “too soon”. He wasn’t even close. He should’ve had so many more years of spotlight…
Haven’t watched wrestling in many years. But Bray was always a badass. His entrance was epic, his characters were fantastic and frightening, and his story telling was larger than life. RIP.
What the fuck. Gone way too soon. This is depressing.
Ugh this is not what I needed to hear today. I didn’t really watch WWE but I did know if the Wyatt Family stuff from social and he was just smashing at what he did.
For goddess sake please be with Erik Rowan right now because I can only imagine what he’s going through losing both of his close partners and friends so soon. 😭😭😭
RIP, and condolences to his family and loved ones.
What in the fuck :(
Not the kind of news I wanted to wake up to see, that’s for sure. Way too damned young…
Almost half year since he dropped out of Wrestlemania, can’t believe this is how he returned to the news 😔 thanks for the memories
The Wyatt Family is down to 1, absolutely unbelievable
Fucking hell. My condolences to his family, friends, and fans.
Fuck Covid, its effects are still very much being felt.
For me, this was peak Bray Wyatt. I think it didn’t get the praise it deserved due to The Boneyard Match the previous night.
https://youtu.be/yxgMSo4-PDE?si=Cc-rDPQF_6jsRUTLI was 100% prepared to be let down by that match and was so excited to be completely wrong. They both leaned in so hard to the gimmick that what should’ve been incredibly cringey ended up being amazing.
Fuck, someone posted the clip (timestamp is 5:42 if it fucks up) where Booker and Brad learn about his passing live during their podcast. The look on Bookers face is rough and about what mine was.
The expression on Book’s face matches exactly what my brain did.
The sole reason I never fell back out of love with wrestling (again) before AEW started. We’ve lost a creative powerhouse, and by all accounts a great father and friend. Devastating.
Absolutely. And FWIW, I did fall out of love with wrestling prior to AEW. But anytime I’d see Bray I’d stop and watch what he was doing.
As someone who mostly watches AEW, he was the one guy I wanted them to sign. I’d say that elsewhere and people would tell me “he’s not a good wrestler,” or what have you. But I don’t care. The part of wrestling that appeals to me most is the ‘creative/promo’ side of things and no one was better at that than Bray.
This sucks.
Bray is/was one of the few performers in the last 15 years where I’ve felt I had to watch his promos, as well as the matches.
At his best he was absolutely captivating, and a true loss.
Absolutely insane to think that we’ve lost have the Wyatt family already.
Its crazy to think I’m older than he was totally not fair
