More London railway stations are to get public toilets, as Transport for London (TfL) announces the first seven stations to get them as part of a larger rollout of toilets on the tube.
I don’t recall during a holiday when I was there, but have heard some parts smell because people relieve themselves in the station? Or was that new York?
Yeah there is a problem with public urination in London, probably related to the lack of public toilets (and the stupid closing times of those that remain). I don’t really notice the smell in most places though, London has a strong city smell anyway.
It was never a priority when a lot of these stations were built, and retro fitting toilets underground will be an expensive project.

The tube has that dusty smell that also smells like stale air, and then you feel air rushing at you thirty seconds before the train arrives.
