Summary

Trend underlines vast gender divide as election approaches, as experts say some women face pressure to ā€˜toe the lineā€™ politically at home.

A TikTok trend of women ā€œcanceling outā€ their partnersā€™ votes highlights a gender divide in the 2024 election, with many young women supporting Kamala Harris while their male partners back Trump. Campaigns encourage women, especially those in conservative households, to vote independently, emphasizing privacy through ads featuring voices like Michelle Obama and Liz Cheney. Conservatives like Charlie Kirk and Jesse Watters criticize these efforts, claiming they undermine family values.

Thing is people of opposing politics can work together. Trump isnā€™t politics, itā€™s fascism. If we really wanted to see political opposites working together, Republicans could put country first and get rid of Trump with us, once that threat is gone we can go back to being adults with differences

Yeah, but they are there for the fascism. Donnie isnā€™t a bug, heā€™s a feature. As Obama puts it: he didnā€™t build that. Donnie just showed up and slapped his name on the placeā€¦once donnie kicks the bucket, the Republiqons will be just as bad as they always have been. Maybe even worse if they find someone who is smarter than donnie to run the joint.

go back to being adults with differences

This is actually a fantasy state. The current situation is a natural step along the road that Republicans have been walking since the 70s. The Christian nationalist take over of the party happened long before trump and I donā€™t see any reason why it would recede with his departure.
