As with all things liberal there is a grain of truth here. War is SUPER bad for the climate and this is really fucking us more than we really need on that front. That being said it, it’s not like the bourgeois were going to do anything about climate change anyway so using this for pearl clutching is just disingenuous; not to mention the biden admin actively killing us all by ramping up fossil fuel exploitation contracts.

If the Democrats really cared, they could be using this war fervor to push through a new energy plan, reorient to modern nuclear power technology, and sell it as “Ending Dependency on Russian Oil”.
They are just doing, “We were going to push stimulus, but then Joe Manchin stopped us all.” But for the end of all life on earth.
Unfortunately “ending dependency on Russian Oil” is already a talking point with neoliberals. And it’s an argument for more fracking.
